Do they do Cookie Cakes??
Excellent Service And Outstanding Sandwich Including Soup Selection Plus The Cookies Make You SMILE Indeed !
MoreI find the ceiling at The Cookie Shoppe so beautiful. I always look up and enjoy it while I’m there. And the awesome photos on the wall marking the achievements over the years. I’ve never had a menu item I didn’t enjoy.
MoreThe Cookie Shoppe is an Albany landmark that is a must not miss. Reasonably priced, not fussy, and the interior is authentic. The sandwiches are all better than good and I've yet to try anything that is sub-par. The Reubens are pretty standard as far as how they are made, but they are stacked. The BLT's are good. Even the soups are good. The place is small though. And sometimes it seems very, very disorganized, but they do have a system. If you go in during the lunch rush you can definitely expect a little wait, but it is well worth it.Either way this little place is charming and I've been there several times in the past year. Apparently, they've been around for a long time and I've just never known about it, because I don't like going downtown. If you're looking for a great sandwich this is the place to go.Simply great sandwiches, better cookies, and best of all is the baklava!
MoreHeard everyone raving about this place so I finally decided to try it. The service was awful and the food was honestly not good (maybe they were having an off day). I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
MoreBest sandwiches in Albany.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Albany. Would take anyone I know there. Even brought co-workers and contractors from out of town to try it and everyone loved it. But that changed today. Was out and about and decided to stop by for a Rueben. I noticed a sign that said new hours 10 to 2. Not having my phone out at that time and unaware of the time, I see the owner and what looked like costumers eating. I walk in and immediately the owner lady ask, can I help you. I ask if they are opened or closed. "WHAT TIME IS IT?" Excuse me ma'am? "WHAT TIME IS IT?" I am not sure ma'am, as I reach for my phone. She them ask one of the patrons there. CAN YOU TELL HIM WHAT TIME IT IS? She yells at the guy. It's 2:09. THERE! SEE WE'RE CLOSED! Yes I do see. Hopefully you will see you have lost a customer for your rudeness. You could of polity said you were closed instead of getting hostile and trying to embarrass me in front of other customers. I will gladly never come back
